MICHELLE BUGLAS
BA, BSW, MSW
Registered Social Worker (RSW) (SK) #1211
I have over 25 years of experience working in the field of mental health in a variety of areas, however, my passion has landed in the area of supporting individuals over the age of 50 as they navigate the many changes that come with this time of life.
My counseling experience includes working in areas such as anxiety, depression, and life transitions such as relationships, work, health, loss and rebuilding oneself. I believe in creating a safe and comfortable space for individuals to explore any challenges they may be facing, and finding ways to live the life they want.
I incorporate a variety of counseling approaches in my practice including CBT, strength based, acceptance and commitment therapy as well as mindfulness and self-regulation techniques. I use a trauma informed approach to my practice to create a safe, authentic and comfortable space for individuals as they move through their own unique journey.
My private practice is focused on adults over the age of 50 as I believe that this age group is often overlooked when it comes to counseling support and services and yet it is a significant time in people’s lives where they experience many transitions, changes and personal growth.
I am excited to walk with you through a piece of your 50+ journey as you explore, rediscover or affirm your sense of self.

I love fuzzy pjs, icecream and any rom com where it all ends well.
My favorite season is fall. I love all the colors and the crisp cool air. I love sunsets and a bright fall moon. I love fall so much I named one of my daughters after the season.
I am a huge self-care advocate and practice this through yoga, walking, reading and connecting with friends and family (but also by spending time on my own).
